Our first playdate...

Kaylee and I had a great day! We met Sue and her daughter Gracie, adopted from the same province as Kaylee and also her son Maddox. It was a perfect day for the zoo. We had lunch at TGI Fridays afterwards. The girls got along great. They even shared their food and snacks! Kaylee fell asleep before I could even get out of the parking lot...

Mark and his dad have been building and adding on to our deck in the back, and when it is complete we will be able to enter the pool from the deck. It is going to be wonderful !

Kaylee and her cupcake...

Kaylee loves cupcakes, but not to eat, she likes to squish them. Saturday was such a pretty day. I took a couple of pictures of the house, azaleas, and sassy wanted his picture taken too.

More pics...

Lilacs are in bloom...

Our lilacs are just gorgeous this year. Last year they did not bloom due to a late frost. The butterflies are swarming around them. It is a beautiful site!

Kaylee has taken several steps, and as of this morning, she let go of the ottomon and started to sway and dance. We are BIG "Yo Gabba Gabba" fans in this house and we also like the Wiggles too.

Dylan had his soccer game against New Kent last night and they tied.

Aunt Peggy is coming to visit again this weekend. We are going to "babysit" her dog Tobey this week while she is in Chicago. Tobey is the little brother to my Gus. They are both Alpha males, so we always have lots of fun.

"Spicey girls"

How cute are they?!?!?!? These are pictures of the Childrens Hope 12/13/05 LID group. From left to right- Mia, Olivia, Emma, Grace, Kaylee and Journey. In China, they call the girls from Nanchang "spicey girls." It is a tradition at the White Swan Hotel, to get the babies pictures taken together on the red couch. Kaylee did not like it at all...

Better late than never...

I have been meaning to put Kaylee's Easter Sunday pics on here for a while. All is well here. I have been trying to get all of my scrapbooks done of our trip to China and Kaylee's Birthday and baby shower. She took 4 steps this morning to me. She was so proud of herself.

A quiet weekend...

Dylan's soccer team won their game on Friday. My sister Peggy came to visit from the beach. A friend of hers gave Kaylee the cutest bathing suit and doll. Aunt Peggy brought Kaylee some pink shades. We all went shopping so I could get Kaylee some sneakers and sandals from Stride Rite. They are so cute. We have gotten tired of the squeaky shoes...LOL

Kaylee is such a joy...

Kaylee is really starting to show her personality. She has started mocking us when we make a noise or a face. It is so funny. She has taken her first step and can also stand up without holding on. She has not mastered this yet, but we are working on it...As of tomorrow, Kaylee will be off of formula and on whole milk. I have been slowly cutting down on the formula for a week now. She eats very well. We have NOT gotten her out of our room yet though. She is sleeping better though. I hope to have her back in her nursery by the end of the summer.

I did not think Kaylee could get any cuter, but she has. She is starting to teethe again, so soon she should have more than 4 teeth. Kaylee has started to stand up without holding on, but has not taken a step by herself yet. I guess she will in her own time. I am not in any hurry for that. I love it that she is still wanting me to hold her. We waited so long to get her, I am cherishing all the little "baby times", EXCEPT the lack of sleep! Things have gotten better though.
